Look, I'm Just Trying To Fish Here

The best time to do this is when you're prompted to do the final confrontation of your Prey (the Prey's location is revealed, but you put off fighting it). This gets rid of the "kill-a-mob-or-you-die" requirement from Alastor's debuff, leaving you only with the Add spawning and the red circles.

Don't do this in a rested area, as it won't increase the counter.

1) You don't actually have to catch 100 fish. It's just 100 fishing cast + loot. (so make sure to loot the junk too, as they count towards the total).

2) When the add comes out, just interrupt it quick.

How to cheese Look, I'm Just Trying To Fish Here & Kitchen Nightmare:

1- Select Eversong Woods Nightmare
2- Head to /way #2395 46.12 18.28
3- Start Fishing / Cooking
4- As soon as you are Ambushed / Debuffed by Nightmare, take 2 steps to your right into the "Sanctuary" Zone [This will clear the debuff]. Then go back to the same spot by taking 2 steps to your left.
5 - Rinse and repeat.

Monk players have it the easiest for this achievement, as neither [spell=1245767] nor [spell=1245792] will occur while you are considered to be "flying" on a mount. Although Zen Flight (taught by reading the [item=136800]) isn't very useful for getting around, you are allowed to fish while riding on it. Simply hover near some water and fish away in peace knowing that you won't get disturbed or interrupted by the nightmare effects.
