Loremaster of Kalimdor

As above poster, I completed this quest yesterday. It's just about doable, but its no walk in the park and I'm surely not doing this again. I've come across a few good tips here questwise but i've found a lot of quests I never even heard of, so I'll list a few of them below, hope its any help.

Teldrassil: Mist, an escort quest i never saw before. Also make sure to get the quests off the glowing fruits and The Sleeping Druid inside the Ban'ethil Barrow Den

Darkshore: Easiest ever: there are 9 beached creatures, each and every single one of them counts. 3 are north of Auberdine along the beach, 6 are south of it, all the way down. Gyromasts Retrieval comes from a gnome captain (arr) way up north along the beach. One Shot, One Kill is a very easy quest in the hills near the Ashenvale border, and I never spotted it before. In case you feel lucky, the cultists at the Masters Glaive drop a book The Powers Below that counts as well, and at the same spot is a druidgirl you can escort.

Azuremyst Isle: Most quests here are pretty obvious, apart from a few drop quests: Bandits is a bit of work, you'll have to run down the spawnpoints to find a bloodelf but its doable. Gurf's Dignity drops from a named murloc along the hovels south and Rune Covered Tablet drops from the naga just west of Odysseus Landing. Also kill at least a few infected nightsaber runts to get Strange Findings which starts from a crystal they drop.

Bloodmyst Isle: Again, just a few drop quests that are harder to come by. First of all note that Signs of the Legion is bugged as of patch 3.0.1, the demon does not spawn. I guess future patches will fix the issue. Cruelfin's Necklace drops off a named murloc on the beach named Rawgrlgrlgrlgrlgrrgle! Yes, thats his actual name. Also note that the final quests on Bloodmyst Isle are now only available to Draenei players, and im not even sure if they count for them.

Stonetalon Mountains: Two quests for stonetalon starts in Stormwind, Collin Mauren in the mage quarter is the one you're looking for. Then there's a goblin down in the Windshear Mine, who will ask you to defend him from a couple of kobolds. Gerenzo's Orders also has a followup to hand in the ore he mines, so its 2 quests easily done while you're there.

Ashenvale: All BFD quests count, so do those. Furthermore, stating the obvious - don't forget the elf sitting near the Zoram Strand, Talen. He starts The Ancient Statuette. There's also a quest from a drop by the demons on Felfire Hill, Diabolical Plans but thats pretty hard to miss if you do the regular quests there that start in Forest Song.

Azshara: Only one questline that really makes you work in Azshara starts on the border of Blasted Lands, at the Fallen hero of the Horde. The first few quests are in Blasted Lands itself, but later on you're send off to Kalimdor where you'll end up doing a quest or 5. Time consuming but much needed quests.

The Barrens: Wailing Cavern quests count, 2 start in Ratchet (make sure to do the prequest Raptor Horns first, after that he'll send you to WC) and the rest is in the cave above the instance if you're Alliance. RFK quests did NOT count, so save yourself the hassle. RFD quests DID count, one of them starts in SW Cathedral, the rest is near or at the instance. Don't forget A Host of Evil given right outside the entrance of RFD (the pig's head).

Feralas: Dire Maul quests count, but I never did any of the tribute run quests. Some quests start at Feathermoon, but another starts at the Lariss Pavilion, Pusilin and the Elder Azj'Tordin. It's the quest that makes you chase the imp in DM East. Another great questline in Feralas starts just east of Dire Maul at the Grimtotem camp. Freedom for All Creatures is the first questline you'll get from Kindal Moonweaver. Once you've been send off to Darnassus however, return to her and she'll start a SECOND questline called An Orphan Looking For A Home which sends you off around the world but in total has about 8 or so quests that ALL count for Kalimdor. Another 'rare' quest starts at the giant all the way north near the Ruins of Ravenwind, The Giant Guardian.

Desolace: First the questlines that start at Nijel's from the dwarf from reclaimers inc Reagents for Reclaimers Inc. Do note you have to complete Business in Desolace before the quests are available to you. There is also several goblins in Desolace that give out quests. There's a goblin with kodo's just north of the graveyard, as well as a goblin at the graveyard itself that will give you Ghost-o-plasm Round up. There's also the quest to escort the goblin caravan, and an escort quest that starts outside Maraudon called Get Me Out Of Here!.
All Maraudon quests count as well.

Felwood: I personally didn't find any new quests here, I did not try to cleanse any flowers/plants. Getting the beacon itself from the elf just south of the Emerald Sanctuary does count as a quest, also make sure to do all the Timbermaw quests given to you both south and north in Felwood, as well as on the other side of the tunnel in Winterspring.

Winterspring: If you're an oldschool player like me, you might have missed out on the hunting quests the tauren gives you at Everlook, starting with Ursius of the Shardtooth and the e'ko quest Luck Be With You. Only the e'ko prequest counts, handing in any of the E'ko does not count as a quest, not even the first time. Other then that, nothing new over there :)

Un'Goro Crater: Most quests start at Marshals Refuge, another few start at the Tauren near the entrance coming from Tanaris. A few quests are more hidden though but worth doing. First of all, do the Linken questline. It's a lot of hassle for travelling but its around 13 quests. It starts at a sunken boat southeast: It's a Secret to Everybody.
Another remote quest starts at a goblin at the Golakka Hot Springs, Finding the Source. Handing in 15 bloodpetal sprouts for the kodo at Marshals Refuge won't count as a quest, it merely gives you a bunch of lvl45 supplies.

Tanaris: As stated in other posts, the pirate treasure quest doesnt count. Also the Sunken Temple quests given by Maron Rivetseeker do NOT count, as well as the tablet quests that send you away to Eastern Kingdoms. As a rule of thumb: the quest only counts for Kalimdor if its listed in your log under a zone thats in Kalimdor, whether the quests start there or not. Tanaris also has 2 escort quests. One starts at a turtle in the Thistleshrub Valley Tooga's Quest. The other is one of the famous robotic chickens who crashed in the hills just north of the gaping chasm, Rescue OOX-17/TN! Also, doing Nice Hat... for Don Carlos in Old Hillsbrad does NOT count towards this achievement. I did also not hand in any eggs you can find in southern Feralas, at the gnome girl and her eggmachine in Gadgetzan. I have seen posts claim it counts once, also seen posts saying it doesnt count at all. If you're really running low on quests and are sure you never done it, it might be worth a shot but i'd leave it be otherwise!

Silithus: I did not do any of the AQ20/40 armor quests, I also never got the head of Broodlord Lashlayer (my rolling skills suck!) so those quests are NOT needed to get this achievement done.
You'll have to run down most of the original quests there though.

Thousand Needles: Make sure to do all quests at the Shimmering Flats, there's quite a lot of them actually. Also don't forget the book just below the Great Lift, Lonebrow's Journal. Apart from those I haven't found any other Alliance quests in Thousand Needles.

Durotar: As stated in posts before me, the goblin on the road near Orgrimmar gives out 2 quests that count for Alliance as well.

Dustwallow Marsh: Make sure you do all the new quests that have been introduced 6 months ago, most start at Theramore Isle and Mudsprocket, but there's also a couple at the towers down the road as well as at Witch Hill and a Tabetha's Farm. Also make sure to drop by the inn on the border with The Barrens as the items there will give you another 3 easy quests + followups.

Hope all of this helps you fanatic achievement gainers out there to finish this Loremaster of Kalimdor achievement. It's pretty rough and especially the 600-700 bit is a drag to do once you run out of hubs, but whenever you think you're out of quests, a new one will pop up somewhere :)
