Nine Afterlives achievement

There are nine slime cats scattered around Maldraxxus. When you find them, you need to pet the cat by clicking on it (channeled 3.5 second spell), after petting one you get a 5 minute debuff called Gross (You’ve been slimed!) which gives you a green tint but doesn’t otherwise effect your character. Repeated petting of cats will give you additional stacks but not increase the duration of the buff.

The cats are scattered all over Maldraxxus and some wall walking/jumping is required to reach them. The easiest way to find them is to run a mod like Silver Dragon or NPCScan (you may need to add the NPC IDs to either mod, hopefully they will be updated before 9.0 goes live).

While it’s likely this will be the source of the slime cat pet, the achievement doesn’t as yet reward it on beta. Still, petting slime cats is its own reward. :)

It will target the slime cat and play a sound if it is found in range. I key bind this and hit it frequently while running around to find them.

currently no coordinates available - Hairball is in the Plaguefall instance, at the bottom level just before the last boss (The Festering Sanctum). After you drop down into the pool, there’s a small alcove to the right facing the boss room. You can target Hairball using the macro above. You cannot access this location in the non-instanced version as it is behind a locked door (can’t be unlocked in open wold).

He’s up on a mushroom/leaf thing. This is a jumping challenge. I found the easiest way to get there was to go around the other side of the mushroom, there’s a gap between the stalk and the wall. From there you run onto the first leaf, jump onto the second, then you need to wall jump onto a vein on the side of the stem, and from there onto the final leaf. You need to hit a very narrow location on the wall jump, taller races may have issues as you tend to hit the vein above and bounce off.
