Midnight gold making: what materials sell for today
What every Midnight trade good sells for right now, which ones moved this week, and which gathering profession they come from. Built from our own region-wide Auction House scans, not from a list someone typed up at launch.
Region: US | EU. Korea and Taiwan commodity markets are not scanned, so they have no board here.
Worth the most today
Of 232 Midnight trade goods with a week of US history, 108 have a higher daily median than seven days earlier and 117 are lower. The most valuable material with a healthy or deep book right now is Petrified Root at 310g, with 10,692 units listed.
Each table lists the most valuable Midnight materials in one category, highest price first. Read the Listed and Liquidity columns before the price: a high price on a few hundred units is a market you can flood with one bag.

Movers this week
The biggest seven-day moves in the daily median, out of 163 Midnight trade goods that pass the liquidity gate: at least 1,000 units and 20 listings on the book now, and a starting median of at least 1g. A move this size can be a real shift in demand or a single seller relisting a stack; the 30-day column and the listed quantity tell you which before you buy into either.

Gathering professions: where the value is today
The gathering profession comes from each item's own client text (for example "Gathered by players with the Herbalism skill"), not from our guesswork. Rows with at least 1,000 units listed come first, because those are markets you can sell a full session into. Prices tell you what a material is worth, not how fast you can gather it; we do not publish gold-per-hour figures.
Herbalism
11 Midnight materials carry the Herbalism line; the most valuable today:
Nocturnal Lotus: 259 gold16 silver, 29,487 listed (healthy)
Argentleaf Rank 2: 35 gold, 78,354 listed (healthy)
Azeroot Rank 2: 30 gold36 silver, 139,249 listed (deep)
Sanguithorn Rank 2: 18 gold18 silver, 126,779 listed (deep)
Mana Lily Rank 2: 16 gold35 silver, 58,912 listed (healthy)
Routes: Eversong Woods herbalism route.
Mining
7 Midnight materials carry the Mining line; the most valuable today:
Refulgent Copper Ore Rank 2: 27 gold, 173,018 listed (deep)
Brilliant Silver Ore Rank 2: 25 gold8 silver, 148,626 listed (deep)
Umbral Tin Ore Rank 2: 19 gold27 silver, 86,739 listed (healthy)
Dazzling Thorium: 7 gold25 silver, 111,705 listed (deep)
Umbral Tin Ore Rank 1: 5 gold11 silver, 145,798 listed (deep)
Skinning
14 Midnight materials carry the Skinning line; the most valuable today:
Majestic Hide: 1,775 gold50 silver, 6,349 listed (thin)
Majestic Fin: 373 gold95 silver, 4,189 listed (thin)
Fantastic Fur: 87 gold50 silver, 64,000 listed (healthy)
Majestic Claw: 54 gold50 silver, 10,075 listed (healthy)
Peerless Plumage: 30 gold, 19,854 listed (healthy)
Fish and meat do not carry a gathering line in their item text, so Fishing has no list here; the Fish and meat table above covers them. Raw cloth drops from humanoid enemies (bolts are tailored from it) and Enchanting materials come from disenchanting, so neither belongs to a gathering profession. For node maps and herb-by-herb pages see the farming hub, herb prices and material prices.
The WoW Token in gold
The WoW Token is how gold turns into game time, so its price is the yardstick for any gold goal. Current prices from Blizzard's token data, as stored by our WoW Token tracker:
| Region | Token price | Observed |
|---|---|---|
| US | 286,119 gold | October 5, 2026, 20:30 UTC |
| EU | 396,266 gold | October 5, 2026, 20:30 UTC |
| KR | 319,887 gold | October 5, 2026, 20:30 UTC |
| TW | 558,465 gold | October 5, 2026, 20:30 UTC |
For when it tends to move, read the WoW Token guide.
Reading the market
The tables say what things cost today. These articles explain how to read them, each built on our own price history:
- How to Read Auction House Price Data. Start here if the tables above are new to you. Lowest price, depth, supply and history, and why one number on its own will mislead you.
- Why a High Herb Price Is Not a Good Farm. The top row of a price table is often the thinnest market. This is the check to run before you plan a session around it.
- Which Herbs Are Actually Worth Farming. Herb markets ranked by supply depth and the rank premium, so gathering skill shows up in the price you get.
- Which Ores Are Worth Your Time. The same question for Mining: ore prices fell hard since March while supply grew, and depth explains which ones still sell.
- The Quality-Tier Trap. Both quality ranks priced on current recipes. Read it before you pay the Rank 2 premium you see in the tables above.
- The Recipe Graveyard. Both sides of every recipe priced. Most crafts cannot be priced at all, and only a few hundred clear ten gold with a real market behind them.
- The Disenchant Trap. When disenchanting beats the vendor and when it quietly loses gold, with the brackets the game actually uses.
- The Realm Arbitrage Myth. Trade goods have one price per region, so moving materials between realms earns nothing. Gear and pets are where realm prices differ.
- What Prices Do When an Expansion Launches. The launch curve measured across three expansions. Useful context for the 30-day column on this page.
- Which Profession Is Worth Leveling on Two Nights a Week. If you have little time, bench depth matters more than the headline margin.

Methodology and data window
- Item set. Every Trade Goods item (item class 7) that the game client assigns to Midnight (ItemSparse ExpansionID 11), read from our datamine of client build 12.1.0.69933. 252 items, of which 232 have a current US commodity listing. Optional and finishing reagents (89 more items) are left out because they are crafted add-ons, not materials. Category is the client's item subclass.
- Price now. The cheapest listed unit price in our latest full region-wide commodity scan (October 5, 2026, 20:24 UTC). It is what the next unit costs a buyer, not an average.
- 7 and 30 days. Change in the daily median price, latest complete day (October 4, 2026) against the day seven and thirty days earlier. "No baseline" means the item had no history that far back.
- Listed and Liquidity. Units on the US book in the same scan. Bands: Deep at 100,000+ units, Healthy at 10,000+ units, Thin at 1,000+ units, Very thin below 1,000 units.
- Rank. Midnight reagents come in two quality ranks that share a name. Rank is the client's crafting quality tier for that item id.
- Not included. No gold-per-hour estimates and no drop rates: a price tells you what a material is worth, not how fast you will gather it. Crafting margins live on the recipe pages, which price both sides of each recipe.
