BlizzCon 2026 · Day 1 · World of Warcraft: Forever
Forever's new systems: Legacy account-wide rewards, Camping, and Professions and Honor changes
World of Warcraft
Blizzard's Forever page lists a Legacy system that grants account-wide benefits as characters progress, a new Camping system, updates to Professions and changes to Honor.
Two of the six headline features on Blizzard's official page are systems rather than content. The Legacy system rewards account-wide benefits every time a character's adventure progresses, so time spent on one character feeds the whole account. Blizzard has not yet listed what those benefits are.
The second is a set of revamps: a new Camping system, updates to Professions and changes to Honor, described as giving each adventurer new ways to play. No mechanics were given on the page; the What's Next panel and Sunday's Deep Dive are the expected venues.
These sit alongside the stage announcement that the level cap stays at 60 for good, with progression coming from new content rather than new levels.
Update from the What's Next panel: Camping is a new profession built around tradeskills, with campsites other players can join to buff each other and communicate, and the Legacy system grants perks to players who level multiple characters.
