At the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2026, Blizzard announced Doctrine, the next hero coming to Overwatch. Wowhead reports that Doctrine is a new support hero, described as a vampire, who will arrive with Season 5 next month.
Doctrine wields a scepter that heals allies and damages enemies. He also has drones that can support allies. A hero trial takes place soon, running from September 12th to 14th.
Season 5 includes more than the new hero. Per Wowhead's report on the announcement, it features a new map, the return of Dokiwatch, unvaulted Battle Passes, and reworks for both Sombra and Roadhog.
