Skyborne unlock and launch details

Wowhead reports on a Blizzard announcement made at BlizzCon 2026: the new Skyborne race coming to World of Warcraft: Forever, the Classic+ style return to a reimagined original Azeroth, is part of a paid expansion pack purchased from the shop. The lowest version to unlock the race is the Skyborne Heroic Pack, listed at 29.99 US dollars and 29,99 EUR on the Battle.net Shop.

The pack also includes beta access, early name reservation, in-game cosmetics, and more. The game itself is included with an active World of Warcraft subscription or Game Time, as with Classic, but Wowhead notes this is the first time a race has specifically been paywalled outside of a new expansion release.

World of Warcraft: Forever launches globally on November 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PST. Optional upgrade editions are available to pre-purchase now on the Battle.net Shop.
