Just popping in to say it still drops from the sludge fens in the barrens, took about 3 hours of fishing for me but your mileage may vary.

Strangely enough, I've used this quite a lot on my Roleplaying paladin. With 1.70 attack speed it's quite a quick way to regain some mana using the seal and judgement of wisdom.

Fished it up at 617 casts on 12/20/2025, so still drops on 11.2.7.

Personal speculation below;

Based on the drop counts people have VERY graciously posted in the comments here, and Blizz's usual patterns with drop rates on items like this, I personally speculate the droprate to be closer to 1/1000 rather than WoWhead's listed 1/50,000 rate. This is more consistent with other unique zone drops introduced in Cata that have more clearly documented droprates. This does NOT mean you'll get it in 1,000 casts, obviously, but gives you a better idea of your possible range of variance.

It's worth remembering that WoWhead's data is aggregated from the entirety of the Northern Barrens - it can't differentiate this pool from the rest of the zone, so the data pool is massively diluted.

Don't give up, just keep fishing.

Just got it out of a Quantum Mace

I actually found the RNG behind this way more discouraging than Invincible's Reins and I never thought I'd say that about anything.

I know, late reply but so all others know, it is supposed to be fished in the Sludge Fen, should still be available.

I know where it's supposed to come from, but I was looking for confirmation that it still exists. The Shattering removed/changed a lot of content, especially fun little items like this. I want to know if anyone has fished it up in recent years. If you notice, the last comment before mine was 6 years prior.

Old Wagonwheel seems to be 0.05% drop rate from Sludge Fen so this suggests the drop rates aren't up to date! Good to know it still drops :)
