no, its not a Japanase sword. it was a dacian sword used by falxmen warriors. The name says all
True, the name certainly alludes to that. But visually, it more resembles a katana than a falx. Thanks for pointing that out though, I don't know why I didn't think to look up the name.
This weapon is somewhat popular on RP realms in particular due to its similarity to a Japanese sword.
