Actually, because of the mechanics behind WF, a 2.6 or slower green weapon will give you better dps than Dawn's Edge as an Off Hand. What really matters is damage range and 2.6 or slower, so, something like this http://www.wowhead.com/?item=15237, especially if it has good stats is better than Dawn's Edge.

Only real paladin-looking axe I've found in-game. I got really lucky and found somebody whose rogue alt inexplicably was a blacksmith and had been "grandfathered in" to the no-longer-obtainable pattern.

Or... perhaps he meant Damage Range cause that's what he wrote. Damage range = the difference between minimum and maximum damage on a weapon.
duel wield as a rogue maybe? idk i like the crit rating but...it seems kinda fast
Due to the unique texture this axe has it sells fairly well on the AH for transmog (if you have the recipe/know a friend who does), though I doubt there'd be any profit if you bought the materials rather than farmed them.
Shaman's don't have rage.

Yes, very nice for the 50's level range. But I prefer +%hit and +AP anyday

Best shaman offhand pre-outland IMO. That is if you skip doing old world dungeons, which most people do.

Not true. For your off hand, you want a very fast weapon to act as a rage generation tool.
Too fast for an Enhancement Shaman.
