Levelling BS without mining nearly always has been. You're paying miners for their time, and their time is worth the cost of whatever the most expensive ore they can mine and sell is. Either pay the price, or do it yourself. Edit: Guess people don't like being told the facts. Down-rating won't make the old world ore any cheaper, or my mining alt any poorer ;-)
With WotlK there aren't many people mining Fel Iron any more which, on my server, has increased the prices drastically.
One stack can cost as much as 100g, the same price for the same reason can be applied on Thorium, Mithril and Adamantite aswell. It's sick, leveling BS for me has been a real pain.
