Any post prior to 6.0 is now completely inaccurate as far as drop rates for Green Dragonscale is concerned. Let me put it gently, I had one run in [zone=1477] that yeilded 4 Green Dragonscale and I nearly !@#$ myself. Not even joking, my average yield was 1 Green Dragonscale per run, out of 40 runs.
Patch 6.0.2 I farmed 17 Worn & 60 GreenD in 4 runs of dragonkin in the Temple of Atal Hakar dungeon. As of Patch 6.0.3, they did not drop ANY Green or Worn Dragonscale from skinning. Ran the place 4 x to make sure. Ironically, came away with 25 patterns which use GDS. Seems therefore your only chance of obtaining these is from Chromagnus in BWL, while the offer lasts.
9 runs of Sunken Temple - Including all Dragonkin in and around The Pit of Sarcrifice, including Wardens of the Dream bosses. Run out, reset, repeat.
