Khorium bars are mainly required for high level blacksmithing items, such as the khorium champion or the lionheart blade. The bar is melted by two khorium ores, which is naturally mined from a red-ish khorium vein around the Outlands. It's an expensive material and will cost you if you decide to go for a blacksmithing item in the higher levelrange.
Would be nice if there was a transmute for this.
