We're a week plus a few days in since Midnight early access launched. I fish a lot in the first few weeks of any expansion to build up my gold.
Here's what I've caught so far, in probably about 30 hours of fishing:
- 62 x Shredded Glimmerline
- 58 x Shredded Bloomline
- 12 x Stranded Glimmerline
- 3 x Stranded Bloomline
Note that you CAN catch the Bloomlines, which are equivalent to 100 Glimmerlines. I've also only started catching Stranded Bloomlines in the past two days, not at launch, so they may not have been available at launch, or the drop rate may have been boosted.
Fished this up from a Careless Cargo pool in Harandar.
For the anglers Bloomline would it be [100 x 20 = 2,000 x 5 = 10,000 ]
This was mostly open water; I'd estimate about 85% in Evensong Woods and 15% in Zul'Aman. I only fish in pools when convenient; it doesn't really seem to boost the chance for the fish that sell for the most. No perception items, just at raw 300 fishing skill. I fish while watching YouTube or Zoom meetings during work, so I barely have to pay attention.
what zone did yo do this in? also did yo use pools or open water, and did you use any perception/etc items?

Beginning in patch 12.1.0 Shredded Glimmerline and Shredded Bloomline can be purchased from [npc=257598] in The Coiled Isle. The cost is 10 x [currency=3546] each.

According to the 12.1.0 Second Mate Sluggs you can purchase both "Shredded Bloomline" and "Shredded Glimmerline" for 10 "Coiled Filament" each. Which means to purchase this off the vendor you will need 800,000 Coiled Filament which comes from the new venom mechanic which you can get from Exalted status with the "Captain Tokka", tbh it doesn't feel worth to spend your filaments on these instead fishing them up is better. Makes me want to speculate on the Midnight Angler's Grand Line since I assume people would like to upgrade their epic rod in patch 12.1.0
Yeah, this is like 90s MMO life wasting stuff here.
Are you still getting these outside of careless cargo pools? I have maxed fishing, max blue rod, max blue hat, every consumable and am not getting them at all. Careless cargo pools rarely give them and 90% of the time just contain lure recipes and motes.
