If this is a byproduct of various professions, shouldn't it be able to be created by said professions?
In 6.0 (Warlords of Draenor) there is no real way to "farm" these - meaning they don't drop from any mobs currently in-game.

2. Trading in 25 [item=120945] in your garrison. (Click the "sold by" tab to view the vendors.)
