Just read on the guide to volatile air and they told about Florawing Hive Queen in Zul'Gurub (left when you enter the instance). Seems the honeycomb she drops has volatile life in it as well, 3-6 every drop(100% rate of drop).
As a non herbalist, or even as one, this seems really fast. Run in, kill her, run out reset instance and repeat.
At the time of typing, i've done this for 5 minutes(perhaps less) and netted over 20 air and 20 life.
The 10 run limit will come up quick, but still.
Quick edit: ran until got locked out, 53 life, 53 air, 47 twilight jasmine.

Yes, you can farm these from cataclysm herbs but you first must have [skill=2553] which you can learn by looking up its corresponding spell: Herb Gathering
If you do not have that, you can still herb these nodes but you will only get 1 herb and never any Volatile Life. Furthermore, you can get a lot of these quickly by using this farming route: https://www.wow-professions.com/farming/volatile-life-farming
To get to Uldum quickly for future runs, you can open a portal from Stormwind/Orgrimmar by starting this quest line: Easy Money and going up until this quest Escape From the Lost City
This will open a portal at The Valley of Wisdom in Ogrimmar (48.8, 38.5) for Horde and north of the Dwarven District in Stormwind (75.2, 20.5) for Alliance
