This item drops again as of 10.1.7. Took me about 120 kills of the [npc=49422].
Are these still obtainable? I couldnt find the mob that drops them
Bastard in the case of swords is used to refer to ones designed to be used either one-handed or with both hands interchangeably without problem. Obviously that can't be the case in this game, so Blizzard just uses it as a descriptor for a few two-handed swords. Another thing they took liberties with is the size; bastard swords are among the smallest swords designed for two-handed use, since obviously they need to be in order to be swapped to one-handed use.That blade is huge and the equivalent of some of the very largest real swords.
