I have multiple 100's and chose the tankworks on one character. Comparing the two, the Corral is the FAR better choice. the demolisher does not do signifigantly more damage, does not allow you to loot special items, cut Timber, mine ore, skin beasts, etc. the Corral and war wolf will however scale with gear since you keep all your skills as normal.
To clarify comments on alliance side version of this quest:
As a horde balance druid I can cast and stay mounted on the Frostwolf in the same way as when not mounted (e.g. I can tap a target with Moonfire while riding past it). Attacks and kick-back damage from mobs do not dismount you. You can mount up while in combat. You can gather herbs while mounted.
Like any mount this is not usable indoors - and you will be automatically dismounted when you run through a doorway from outside to in.
Obviously I chose the Corral and am happy with my choice (questing feels a lot quicker) - a bodyguard from my Garrison is enough to help with silver mobs, etc.
