TheWoWDBThis quest is currently bugged for some characters, normally this quest pops up at the brewfest ram apprentice right outside the festival grounds (Driz Tumblequick) after completing the Now This is Ram Racing... Almost. which you do for the ram racing master to show him that you can spank that goat good. The 2 NPCs are standing right next to each other, you really can't miss this quest by "normal" means. However, sometimes the quest simply just wont be there.
I did it on my main once, having only the Green Brewfest Stein from some previous year, and the quest did not show up. I then tried doing it with an lvl 75 alt, which did get the quest and chance to collect the new and awesome "Overflowing Purple Brewfest Stein". I tried it yet again on another 85 alt, and he had no luck either, him possessing a Blue Brewfest Stein may or may not have something to do with it. (Still very speculative.)
It's debated if the bug is related to owning, or not owning, any steins from previous years but this however has been said to not have any relation with getting the quest, as people with previous steins also have been able to get the new purple one. This would basically mean that the quest not being there may happen to anyone.
According to the quest giver they seem to have gotten a "better" provider, and seeing this purple beauty most of us would agree.
They just didn't provide enough for everyone, eh? :/*Edit: The problem seem to have been fixed as of 21/9 - 2011, characters should all recieve the quest properly after completing the ram racing training now.

Just talked to a GM about this, seems that his main as well is being affected and cannot get this years stein ether. Says that it is a known issue, but that there is NO known reason why the quest is working for some, but not others.
He also went on to say that the Event just started and that there should be a hotfix for this issue before the Event is over. Allowing Collectors to get the prized item to show they attended this years Brewfest.
This is the response I received to my GM inquiry as to why I wasn't able to obtain this quest...
My name is Game Master [redacted] and I received the petition you put on this character. Thank you for taking the time to contact us about this. I want to let you know that even though you were offline I looked into your inquiry.
I'm sorry that I wasn't able to have a face to face conversation with you today, in place of this I've done my best to research your issue and I've passed the information you've submitted to our QA Department to begin a bug investigation. While this process can take a little bit of time, once they have a successful solution to this problem it will likely be rolled out in an upcoming hotfix or content patch. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you, but I assure you that we'll have something in the works to correct this shortly.

Description
The less said about last year's stein, the better, {name}. I'll tell you this, our previous supplier, they were shady. Turns out they were involved in some cultist activities... We can't work with people who are trying to destroy the world!! So we have a new supplier and a new stein. Take this voucher to Belbi Quikswitch near the back of the Brewfest camp. She'll give you your free Brewfest stein. She'll also handle any and all other Brewfest transactions that come up during the holiday.
