If you are looking for the portal and getting confused by the point on the minimap, you need to step on the pedestal portal in the center building and then run down the ramp to the room where all the other portals are. (like the one to Dalaran crater)
Hope this helps.

The clues are the Strange Portal (the Ethereal portals from Outland), Void Siphon (under archways), and Void-Tainted Blade (sticking out of the ground near the portals and siphons). There are multiples of each.
Doing this quest before level 30 when you gain flying is pure torture. They give you a spell ability that gives you a red drake vehicle to fly with, but it travels at regular running speed (not even ground mount speed even if you have fast ground riding) and sometimes bugs out and thinks it's on the ground, meaning you can't descend like a mount would just be pressing crouch until you first press jump to ascend a bit. And that's not even mention that this "mount" has a ten second goddamned cast time.

Description
If you seek the Nexus, I would warn not to rush headlong. There are strange happenings in Coldarra, and it would be best to gather some information before proceeding. During my last visit to the Dragonblight, I sensed unusual energies from the Azure Dragonshrine. Since this place was very closely tied to Malygos' plans during the Nexus Wars, whatever is present there may explain the current state of the Nexus. I cannot accompany you, but this crystal can be used to communicate with me. Good luck.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Light's Wrath
Light's Wrath... a bold choice. Though if you believe you can control its energies, it could prove vital to our cause. Retrieving it won't be easy. It was last held by the Kirin Tor, who, fearing its unbridled power, handed it to the blue dragonflight to secure away from the hands of men.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- A Forgotten Enemy
The device still hums with power. It must have been abandoned not long ago. The nearby switch appears to activate it.
