Don't worry, you keep the flame through death. :D I'ts a valid question actauly, so ofcourse i wont downrate.
The quests for this series are obtained by simply clicking on the bonfire at the opposing faction capital cities. You will "create" a flame from their fire, and that flame gives you the quest. Turn in the quests to the Loremaster at one of your capital cities and you are done.
