TheWoWDBIf Pocopoc is with you, he attacks Crispin, and then follows him continuously and its hard to get him out of combat so you can even leave the area. I can't get him to hold still long enough to click on him and dismiss him. I've started dismissing him before starting this quest. Is there and easier way?

You have to attack him or he won't toss out any apples.
You can actually kill the guy nowadays quite quickly. He "drops" five apples, and respawns fairly promptly at /way 49, 94, so this is probably just faster than faffing about with the normal mechanics.
