Battle Pet Tamers: Kalimdor

Here is my Quicklist Guide to the second tier of Pet Trainer Quests in Kalimdor. This is a quick reference to see what type of pets you will need to defeat the trainers easily. On Trainers who have the same type of pet for all 3 pets in their party, I would recommend you bring at least two pets that are the opposite type (i.e. bring three appropriate leveled Mechanical types to fight three trainer Beasts). Don't rely on fighting all three of their pets with just one of yours, despite the fact that they will have stronger attacks and defeat them quicker.

To defeat these trainers with maximum efficiency, you will need pets of the following type:
Mechanical, Beast, Humanoid, Elemental, Dragonkin, Magic

Traitor Gluk – Feralas – Level 11-13 (various reports of both)
Quickteam List – Mechanical, Beast, Humanoid
Pet 1: Rasp – Beast – Use Mechanical
Pet 2: Prancer – Critter – Use Beast
Pet 3: Glimmer – Dragonkin – Use Humanoid

Grazzle the Great - Dustwallow Marsh – Level 14
Quickteam List - Humanoid
Pet 1: Flameclaw – Dragonkin – Use Humanoid
Pet 2: Blaze - Dragonkin – Use Humanoid
Pet 3: Firetooth - Dragonkin – Use Humanoid

Kela Grimtotem - Thousand Needles – Level 15
Quickteam List – Beast, Mechanical
Pet 1: Indigon – Critter – Use Beast
Pet 2: Plague – Critter – Use Beast
Pet 3: Cho'guana – Beast – Use Mechanical

Zoltan – Felwood – Level 16

If you've finished the intro pet taming quests and gotten both BPT: Kalimdor and BPT: Eastern Kingdoms, you're probably wondering where to go next. Here's a rundown:

In Kalimdor, by level:
Traitor Gluk, in Feralas, lvl 13 pets
Grizzle the Great, in Dustwallow March, lvl14 pets
Kela Grimtotem, in Thousand Needles, lvl 15 pets
Zoltan, Felwood, lvl 16 pets
Elena Flutterfly, Moonglade, lvl 17 pets

The Eastern Kingdoms also have lvl13-17 trainers, so if you want to be fighting the trainers on your level, you have to bounce back and forth. Alternatively, you could just run one continent than go to the other and wafflestomp the lower level trainers.

For those that have high level pets and just want to complete these as quickly as possible, the most efficient route FOR HORDE from Orgrimmar:

1. Grazzle the Great — Dustwallow Marsh
