Battle Pet Tamers: Northrend

Here is my Quicklist Guide to the Northrend Section of the Pet Trainer Quests. This is a quick reference to see what type of pets you will need to defeat the trainers easily. On Trainers who have the same type of pet for all 3 pets in their party, I would recommend you bring at least two pets that are the opposite type (i.e. bring three appropriate leveled Mechanical types to fight three trainer Beasts). Don't rely on fighting all three of their pets with just one of yours, despite the fact that they will have stronger attacks and defeat them quicker.

Northrend Trainer Quest Line

To defeat these trainers with maximum efficiency, you will need pets of the following type:
Magic, Flying, Critter, Humanoid, Mechanical, Beast

Beegle Blastfuse – Howling Fjord – Level 25
Quickteam List – Magic, Flying
Pet 1: Dinner – Flying – Use Magic
Pet 2: Gobbles – Flying – Use Magic
Pet 3: Warble – Aquatic – Use Flying

Nearly Headless Jacob – Crystalsong Forest – Level 25
Quickteam List - Critter
Pet 1: Stitch – Undead – Use Critter
Pet 2: Spooky Strangler - Undead – Use Critter
Pet 3: Mort - Undead – Use Critter

Okrut Dragonwaste – Dragonblight – Level 25
Quickteam List – Humanoid, Critter
Pet 1: Drogar – Dragonkin – Use Humanoid
Pet 2: Sleet – Undead – Use Critter
Pet 3: Rot – Undead – Use Critter

Gutretch – Zul’Drak – Level 25

Turtles! Many turtles can do critter damage, have a heal, and are aquatic so Undead does weak damage to them. Turtles are perfect for this fight.

Get a set of three and name them Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael. And you'll kick ass on this fight. ([npc=62994], [npc=63293], and [npc=63060] can be caught at level 22 in Pandaria)

Turtles will better survive [petability=218] and [petability=654] because of their normally increased health pools and Undead's weakness against Aquatic.

Use [petability=566] every turn.
Use [petability=123] on cooldown, unless the current pet is almost dead, because you should save it for the [petability=242] passive (because they are going to die anyway).

If your pets are low level (21-22) and you're having trouble with the reduced healing from [petability=256], you might wanna bring a pet that can overwrite the weather effect (preferably [petability=404] or [petability=230].)

None of these pets are particularly strong. They all have [petability=160] which is Undead and therefore weak to Aquatic (which is important because the heal they receive is based on the damage that it does.) They also use [petability=159] which means a healer can burn a heal when they are underground... I suggest Turtles for this fight as well just because it limits the enemy healing. Make sure to switch to [petability=376] for this fight as Critter abilites are weak against two of the pets and it can be used against the Critter pet for extra damage.

Nearest Stable Master: [npc=28790] (Argent Stand directly to the east.)
