Just want to let everyone know that after 5.1, yes, there is a 3,000g reward for this achievement ("I Choose you").
HOWEVER! For those of you that have ALREADY ACHIEVED THIS PRIOR TO THE PATCH, you will receive this money ONCE through the mail on only one character and because this is an account based achievement, only ONE CHARACTER WILL RECEIVE IT. That means that if you decide to log on to a character on a different faction or realm, then characters on other realms and faction will not receive the reward.
Unfortunately I decided to log on to an alt on a different realm (completely forgetting about the reward as well >.< ), was given it in my mail, logged back on my main on a different realm and couldn't receive the money there.
I used the money to buy more battle pets on the AH in the end.So just a warning, hopefully before anyone else makes this mistake.
After completing this achievement you are awarded 3000 gold by mail.
