For maximum efficiency you'll need a max level (25) pet team comprised of a mechanical, elemental and aquatic nature.
Grand Master Paynes team consists of:
Grizzle - Grizzle, beast
Bloom - Bloom, elemental
Beakmaster X-225 - Beakmaster X-225, mechanicalHe heals, stuns, and is an all around pain in the you know where.
Go prepared. If you are having a lot of issues, swap out for a maximum level pet with a healing ability.
His pets will always go first, it seems, as well. Something that can steal speed is also very effective against them, though they can often miss.Good luck!

Description
In my opinion, my fellow tamers have been far too lenient on your training. True pet taming requires militaristic discipline. I shall honor you with the pleasure of seeing firsthand what that discipline can produce. Come to the Argent Tournament Grounds in Icecrown and see firsthand what you could become!
