The cave is on the *very* small island connected to mainland by a dock pathway just due South of Plot 41 on the neighborhood map.
The treasure is found in the center of the cave 'room', a faintly glowing clickable mound of dirt.As another post mentioned, this is the same place you go for the 'smuggler' vendors quest. Cave opening is to the right of where the vendors are standing (if facing them from the dock)
