In the past, you received the ability [spell=198013] for this quest. As that is now a specialization ability (I think that's the reason) so now you get [spell=258920].
Kinda lame with the quest name... but what's another loose end extra Blizzard will never fix...
Besides quest rewards, there are 7 easy to miss blue gear drops in Mardum including a Strength/Agility buff item and a 28 slot bag. You may want collect these as you progress through Mardum. YOU CANNOT RETURN to this region once you complete the quest Return to the Black Temple.

Description
This demon has proved less than useful. I have been using the Scythe of Souls on it, but so far, it has resisted my inquiries. We will see how long that lasts. I have a different idea... There is a fresh inquisitor demon ahead. They are horrific fel casters who see through their floating eyes and specialize in dark pacts. If you steal its power, Jace Darkweaver could use some of it in his ritual to spy on the Legion. Better yet, you will gain its power by ripping it from its smoking corpse.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Set Them Free
Cyana went down to the Molten Shore. She was going to help some of the demon hunters who came in through the gateway ahead of us. Instead, she got herself into trouble. This inquisitor revealed they're being held prisoner by some new type of demon called a 'jailer'.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Meeting With the Queen
We can use some of that essence to complete my ritual. You'll be able to spy upon the Legion leaders and see what they're planning. Use the nether crucible and complete the ritual.
