I had a vitriolic comment prepped mid-way through this WQ, but now... I'm just resigned. This is another of the platformer style quests that royally screw you over if you have any sort of latency when bouncing. I managed to finally figure out how to approach the mushrooms in order to launch myself different directions, but there were a lot of curse-words involved. Try different directions of approach so that the mushroom tosses you in the direction you want to go.
When a bouncy mushroom is at the edge of a platform face the way you want to go and walk backward into the bouncy.
