This is pretty funny, and obvious but I thought I'd give it mention. Don Carlos sends you back in time to beat his former self up to get his hat for him, and in return creates a time paradox so to speak.
Don Carlos is walking around in Old Hillsbrad, gets jumped by 1-5 guys and has his hat stolen! Some years in the future he's in Tanaris and gets the bright idea of having 1-5 guys go back in time for him and get his hat back. 1-5 guys go back in time, beat up young Don Carlos, takes his hat and brings it back to old Don Carlos.
Pretty clever on Blizzard's part.

An important thing your party needs to know is that this quest needs to be done before going to rescue Thrall. To find him, make a right from the cave till you hit the road then turn left. You will see him on his mount escorted by his pet. This of course means you will not be taking the dragon flight express straight to Durnholde Keep if you have this quest.
I tried doing this quest after helping Thrall first and ended up searching in vain for an hour. When I reset and came back, there he was causally riding past Hillsbrad. He has 70k health, a mean dog, and a c0cky attitude. He is also annoyingly good at throwing his net.
As for the story line, now that I thought about it, it is actually hilarious because Don Carlos has no idea you can go back in time. Most likely he does not know the Caverns of Time exists. Remember, the quest is not his "instruction", but an "idea" Blizzard puts into your toon's head because your toon just happens to be taking a trip to the past. Poor Don Carlos thought no one would ever bring evidence of his one time defeat.
He patrols on the road from the keep to SS.
Also, if you kill him in heroic mode, he drops a blue version of the hat that summons his wolf until you take it off.
We ran heroic 5 times in a row to get the blue version for everyone. The instance doesn't save because he isn't a boss mob.
This is all on PTRs and subject to change.

Description
My hat? Yes, it's an unusual style, I know, from far away... few tailors here know how to make them. When I was young and hot-blooded, I wore it as a standing challenge. Many came seeking to defeat me and win it for themselves... but no one ever did. Ah, but those days are long past. I'm an old man, now: I drink, I fish, but I no longer duel.
