The display case is located upstairs on the wall inside the archaeology shop in Dalaran. (Brown stars with shelves on them.)
In the past week I've been farming High Mountain dig-sites for this item to finish the achieve. I must have cleared over 50 dig-sites and found at least 20 of these, including 3 in a row once, not a single one has been the pristine version, still looking. Now I know this is only rng but stupid, dumb, idiotic, crazy, ****ing drop-rates like this are enough to put anyone off this game.
It's the end of 2025... December 5th... I still do not have a pristine version myself.
“A carefully crated artifact, restored from Archaeology fragments. The archaeologists in Dalaran, Ashran, or at the Seat of Knowledge will be very interested in this.”
“Keystone that can complete Highmountain Tauren archaeology artifacts with missing fragments.”
Item facts are the current retail client’s (ItemSparse); the specialisations for a pick-one item are the ones the Blizzard quest API lists; faction and currency text is the client’s own. Lowest listed price = the US commodity auction house now.
Its criteria name 15 quests; others include:
Steps, storylines and map placement from the client’s QuestLine, prerequisite and QuestPOI data; neighbouring quest text is Blizzard’s own (quest API), shortened to its opening sentences.
Completing this quest counts toward this achievement.
