TheWoWDBYou have to fill the completion % bar before you can turn in the quest, regardless of how many scourgestones you have earned. As of right now it fills 10% when i loot [item=180720] and 20% when I loot [item=183200], regardless of how many you loot each time. Scourgestones earned before taking the quest will not count toward completion.

Try and loot only one mob at a time whenever possible. If you loot multiple corpses at once you'll only get credit once, even if multiple mobs dropped scourgestones.

Description
The Lich King's minions once carried scourgestones given to them by their dark master. New ones have been found on the corpses of the undead. We do not know their purpose... but they have been touched by even more sinister magic. As you slay the Scourge across Icecrown, keep your eyes open for such stones. If you bring them back to me, I shall turn them over to the confessors for study.

- Securing the Area
The Scourge's attack was as sudden as it was unexpected. Truth be told, they caught us unawares. Through swift action, we were able to rally our defenses... though not before the tournament grounds were overrun. We must secure the area before we can mount a counteroffensive.
- A Valiant Effort
It has been quite some time since we faced such a large number of Scourge. We were ill-prepared for an assault of this scale. While we managed to escort many to safety, there are some who were wounded in the chaos. Search the training grounds for any survivors from the onslaught.
