This quest starts in Dalaran-Legion and it is the starting quest of the Blacksmithing Legion profession quest chain.

You need to bring 10x Leystone Ore

You can get them from Mining, from [item=140225] or buy on Auction House

Here is my main Legion Blacksmithing post: WOWHEAD LINK.
You can find more info about the profession there.

Posting this here because its not entirely obvious. If you once had blacksmithing long ago and unlearned it but are now trying to re-learn it you might find that the quest is unavailable and if you run the script "/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(38499))" it kicks back true with no clear way to get Legion Blacksmithing back.

If this is the case, speak to [npc=92184] behind the counter and you will find an item called [item=139493] which will give you back Legion Blacksmithing and all plans you once new (albeit starting back at skill level 1)

I just scratched my head for a good hour and was mid typing up a Customer Support post for help when I remembered the whole tome thing.

Wow, I dropped blacksmithing for a minute because I was going to do mining (this toon was BS/ENG) but I quickly decided I had enough alts feeding me ore... so I picked it back up, it let me keep doing BS quests but I was maxed at 700 points... I had to buy the "relearn the patterns" book for 1k gold to get Legion BS back and get my cap to 800 instead of 700. FYI

Description

You smell that, smith? Ahhhh... that there's the smell of opportunity. Dalaran's taken us to some strange new shores, filled with mysterious metals. I'm tethered to my shop here, but you... you've got the freedom to explore and mine at will. Bring me something interesting, and we'll see what we can make with it.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

I've never seen anything like this "leystone" ore. It's light, like mithril, but it carries much more of a magical energy... more even than saronite or elementium. Let's try making something with it. How about a nice pair of gauntlets?
