Unexpected Assistance doing Surge Breaker

If you have have more Djaradin forces to kill and others have left, the following features will help you solo:

  • Look for [npc=187791] obselisks. Found two. One was near a giant worm in a lava pool at 29.1, 53.8. Another was on the covered platform near the Forgemaster at 25.7, 59.5 where a lava mastodon patrols. Clicking on the obelisk releases an earth element (called by the same name). The [npc=187791] will fight with you for a while if you stay near its spawn point. An obelisk may be visible, but may not activate.


  • If you take the stairs down from the Forgemaster, you'll find [npc=189713]s battling individual Djaradin mobs. When my character died and returned from a fast corpse run, the Djaradin was still up with it's health weakened by the Avengers. This is the only place in the quest zone where the mob doesn't reset if you die. The respawn rate for the adds was relatively fast. See screenshot.

This quest works best if you're fighting in a group:

  • use the small LFG green eyeball next to the quest name*. Usually autofill. Works in PVE or War Mode.

  • fight in an informal group with players of either faction (PVE).

  • join a custom group*
    *Use markers to make it easier to track flying group members.
