The Darkmoon Field Guide is a quest for level 1-90. It rewards 1 reward item.
Do you have a copy of the Darkmoon Field Guide, friend? It's a most useful book to carry with you.
It can help you find and identify valuable artifacts throughout your travels in Azeroth. Its detailed descriptions make it easy to decide if you've found your five hundredth brass button or that rare treasure the Darkmoon Faire's collectors crave.

Is there another way to pick up this item? The Darkmoon Faire Mystic person in SW doesn't have a quest for me and I haven't seen anywhere to get one. :( I've got the quest that says I need it for killing the 250, but no book...
***FOUND IT! Just inside of the Darkmoon Faire is Selina Dourman and she'll offer you a replacement!
The item is actually called "Darkmoon Adventurer's Guide". I was a bit confused at first, hope this helps anyone else who is as dim as me.
Selina Dourman gives you a replacement if you deleted yours or just cannot find the quest!
Click her first bubble, "Darkmoon Field Guide."
Then, you will see a new dialog with a final bubble, "Replace Darkmoon Field Guide."
By chance, if you do have this in your bag and merely forgot, you will NOT be offered a Replacement. I actually had the guide but didn't know it and I tried talking to her and she didn't ask me if I wanted the replacement... so then I figured out what I did, deleted it, and voila! She offers it to you only on the condition yours is not in your bag (not sure about... BANK!).
“Allows you to find Darkmoon Artifacts in appropriately-challenging dungeons, raids, and battlegrounds.”
Item facts are the current retail client’s (ItemSparse); the specialisations for a pick-one item are the ones the Blizzard quest API lists; faction and currency text is the client’s own. Lowest listed price = the US commodity auction house now.
