The Darkness Beneath

The Darkness Beneath is a Horde-only quest for level 15-30 in Grizzly Hills. It is step 67 of 115 in the Grizzly Hills storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Grizzly Hills at 22.5, 62.8. It rewards 1 reputation reward and 4,100 experience.

Description

Something... dark... happened to the tree Vordrassil. After the druids decided to destroy it, its hollow remains grew roots deep into the ground.

I want you to go to the three locations to the northeast where the tree's trunk shattered and go as far beneath the ground as you can.

Use this orb once you get there to get an imprint of the energy surrounding the area. This might shed some light on what happened to Vordrassil and why it failed to become a world tree.

You go to the end of each tunnel and use the Orb on the "smoke".

You should have the quest "Vordrassil's Fall" with you while you do this quest, you kill the slime at any of the 3 areas to collect the samples.

Listen, <name>. I need you to act with discretion and speed. One of Krenna's top sergeants has captured a trapper outcast outside of Silverbrook. Now, if things turn out the way they usually do, the prisoner is going to be executed before the day is over. We can't let that happen.
