You do not need to do most of the work to get kill credit for these guys; simply tagging them before they fall and letting the NPCs do the rest will be enough.

As a feral druid they are quite easy to kill, in cat form you can use your bleeds + the occasional mangle while close in while dodging the boulder and smack attacks (he doesn't do any other form of damage, so it's pretty easy not to take any damage at all).
Or you can be like me and just go "screw that" and just kill him in bear form and ignore his smash attacks.
The annoying part about this daily quest is when you're done with it, you can sometimes find yourself getting hit by a Molten Behemoth's Fiery Boulder even if you're not in combat with the mob. And several of them can target you at the same time, even if you don't attack them (and even while they're busy attacking NPCs).
While it does add to the "all-out war" feeling in the Molten Front, it's quite a dangerous and annoying venture when this daily quest is on. So watch out if you're busy with other quests like Burn Victims which requires you to stop for a moment to heal some NPCs. I tend to receive a lot of rocks thrown at me whenever I stop to use the Enchanted Salve.

Description
Molten Behemoths have joined the elementals upon the battlefield. They are crushing our front lines. I need you to halt their momentum. You'll find the beasts slow and clumsy. They can easily be outmaneuvered, but they will pack a devastating punch if they hit you. Be nimble, {class}.

After this quest
Taken from a quest that requires this one.
- The Forlorn Spire
Captain Saynna Stormrunner is launching an attack against the Forlorn Spire. If you head to the northeast, you'll find her at the bottom of the ramp leading up towards that rise. Go there and escort one of her druids to the tower with any forces that she can spare.
- Into the Fire
Skylord Omnuron and his druids are seeking to push through the Furnace to our northwest. They've been able to fly over the dangers, but they really need someone on the ground to help them secure the territory past the fire... someone like you.
