WHAT WORKED FOR ME

ALL AQUATIC TEAM: Benax (H/P); Hydraling (P/B;) Aubergine Scootlefish(H/H)

The Aubergine Scootlefish is one of the new capturable pets in War Within. He’s a great, versatile pet that I’ve been using a fair bit. Have fun!

Benax: Bubble; Swarm of Flies; Tongue Lash 3x and likely Tickler goes into his undead round here;
Benax: Swarm of Flies – Tickler dies
Benax: Fill as desired until you die
Bring in Hydraling to battle Four-Legs
Hydraling: Shell Armor; Call Lightning
Four-Legs dies and in comes Swoopgrasp
Hydraling: Tail Slap on repeat, until you die
Bring in Aubergine Scootlefish and Ooze touch until you win the fight

ALL BEAST TEAM: Giraffe Calf (H/B), Briarthorn Hatchling, Alpine Foxling

Note: This one is just a guideline because there’s a lot that depends on things like Headbutt hitting, so as a guideline:

Giraffe Calf: Hoof x2; Tranquility; Headbutt (ideally, you get a stun in); Either way, keep using Hoof and Tranquility and Headbutt until you die
Four-Legs comes in – and your Briarthorn Hatchling will do a lot of damage with Call Lightning and Trihorn Charge
Alpine Foxling: Finish the fight with Dazzling Dance, Howl and Flurry

With Headbutt potentially stunning, it was hard to do a step-by-step, but this trio worked well for me.

ALL CRITTERS TEAM: Alpine Chipmunk (P/B), Bashful (B/B), Amethyst Softshell (B/B)

Alpine Chipmunk: Crouch; Nut Barrage; Scratch x 2; Nut Barrage; Crouch
In comes Four-Legs
Alpine Chipmunk: Nut Barrage and Scratch until dead
Bring in Bashful
Bashful: Quake; Shell Shield and Stone Shot on rotation until you die
If a third pet is needed, Amethyst Softshell can finish the fight with a few hits of Ooze Touch

ALL DRAGONKIN TEAM: Obsidian Warwhelp (B/B), Stormborne Whelping (P/S), Nexus Whelpling (P/P)

OW: Decoy; Time Bomb; Flame Breath on repeat
Timbe Bomb will go off and put Tickler into the back line
In comes Four-Legs
OW: Flame Breath until dead
Bring in Stormborne Whelpling
SW: Thunderbolt (to do some damage to the backline); Call Lightning
Four-Legs will die and Tickler comes back in
SW: Tail Sweep until Swoopgrasp comes in
SW: Tail Sweep and Thunderbolt until you die (and likely kill Swoopgrasp)

If needed, Nexus Whelping will make short order of Swoopgrasp, using Arcane Storm and Mana Surge

ALL ELEMENTALS TEAM: Blazehound (P/B), Echo of the Heights (P/S), Ashtone Core (H/S)

Blazehound: Puppies of the Flame (you’ll miss Tickler’s Call Darkness hit, which is key); then Frenzy and Obsidian bite on repeat as a combination
In comes Four-Legs
Blazehound: Obsidian Bite, until Puppies of the Flame is up again
After Blazehound dies, bring in Echo of the Heights
Echo: Call Lightning (should finish of Four-Legs)
In comes Swoopgrasp
Echo: Slicing Wind until you die – or finish of the fight
Your Ashtone Core is there with good moves against Fliers, if needed. You could switch to Ashtone Core once Swoopgrasp comes in, if you want to end the fight faster.

ALL FLYING TEAM: Ikky, Ikky, Sentinel's Companion (all P/S)

Ikky: Black Claw; Flock until you die
Bring in Second Ikky
Ikky: Use Savage Talon until Tickler dies
In comes Four-Legs
Ikky: Black Claw; Flock – and this should kill Four-Legs
In comes Swoopgrasp
Ikky: Savage Talon until you die (or; Black Claw and Flock if you have enough health)
Bring in Sentinel’s Companion
Soulrush and Moonfire will finish off the fight

ALL HUMANOID TEAM: Squirky (B/B), Anubisath Idol (H/H), Father’s Winter Helper (B/B)

Squirky: Bubble; Stampede (goes for three rounds); Stampede until Tickler dies
(Note: if you’re lucky, Bubble will block Tickler’s Call Darkness – but if not, this still works just fine.)
In comes Four-Legs and Bring in your Anubisath Idol
AI: Deflection; Demolish on repeat (this may miss a few times) until Deflection is back up – use it and continue with Demolish until Four-Legs dies
In comes Swoopgrasp
AI: Try to get a few hits of anything off (usually, I was not able to)
Bring in Father’s Winter Helper
FWH: Call Blizzard; Gift of the Winter Veil – Ice Lance, if needed

ALL MAGIC TEAM: Toxic Wasteling (B/B), Accursed Hexxer (P/B), Enchanted Broom (S/S)

Wasteling: Acidic Goo; Creeping Ooze; Ooze Touch until Tickler dies
In comes Four-Legs
Wasteling: Get a few hits in – Creeping Ooze, Acidic Goo – until you die
Bring in Accursed Hexxer
Hexxer: Chaos Beam until Four-Legs dies
In comes Swoopgrasp
Hexxer: Plagued Blood; Drain Blood; Chaos Beam and Drain Blood on repeat until Swoopgrasp dies

For a faster fight, you could bring in your Enchanted Broom and use Sweep and Clean-up on Swoopgrasp

ALL MECHANICAL TEAM: Iron Starlette (P/S), Lil’ Bling (S/S), Timeless Mechanical Dragonling (P/)

Starlette: Windup; Supercharge; Windup; Powerball through undead round
In comes Four-Legs
Starlette: Windup x 2 (may or may not hit); Powerball until dead
Bring in Lil’ Bling
Bling: Make it Rain; Inflation – this should put an end to Four-Legs
In comes Swoopgrasp
Bling: Make it Rain; Inflation – on repeat until the fight is over

I never needed to bring in a third, but Timeless Mechanical Dragonling with Decoy, Time Bomb, and Flame Breath is a good choice, just in case.

ALL UNDEAD TEAM: Fragment of Desire (H/S), Fragment of Anger (H/P), Fragment of Suffering (H/B)

Desire: Reflective Shield; Soulrush; Arcane Blast on repeat until you die
Bring in Fragment of Anger
Anger: Spiritfire Beam – may hit Tickler in his undead round; Seethe if necessary to finish Tickler
In comes Four-Legs
Anger: Soulrush; Seethe until Spiritfire Beam is up; Seeth until Four-Legs dies
In comes Swoopgrasp
Anger: Soulrush if available – or Seethe (by this point, he’s usually in an undead round)
Bring in Fragment of Suffering
Suffering: Finish off Swoopgrasp using Soulrush and Spiritfire Bolt
