Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 2 reagents for one craft of Demonsteel Bar cost 11 gold15 silver. Most of that is Leystone Ore - 1 at 9 gold15 silver each, 9 gold15 silver, 82.1% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 11 gold73 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 17 gold45 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 6 gold30 silver; the Auction House would keep 87 silver25 copper of a sale, leaving 5 gold42 silver. That is an estimated 48.7% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 13.8% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 5,114 units across 17 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
