Crafting estimate at current listings
No real market: too few listings for this price to mean anything yet.
- Reagent cost (lowest listed)
- 12 gold36 silver
- Crafted item, lowest listed price
- 1,234 gold72 silver
- Auction House cut (5%)
- 61 gold73 silver
- Estimated profit at that listed price
- 1,160 gold62 silver
Thin market: the crafted item’s lowest listing comes from very few current listings and sits far out of line with reagent cost. Treat this estimate as unverified until more listings accrue.
- Evidence: 10 current listings holding 203 units of the crafted item in the US region. We see listings, not sales, so how many sell and at what price is unknown.
- Outlier: the crafted item’s lowest listing is 45 times its 30-day median of 27 gold72 silver, so this estimate rests on a listing far above its usual level.

Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Elixir of Giants cost 12 gold36 silver. Most of that is Gromsblood - 1 at 8 gold35 silver each, 8 gold35 silver, 67.6% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 13 gold1 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 1,234 gold72 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 1,222 gold36 silver; the Auction House would keep 61 gold73 silver of a sale, leaving 1,160 gold62 silver. That is an estimated 9390.2% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 5.1% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 203 units across 10 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
