Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 3 reagents for one craft of Elixir of Major Firepower cost 101 gold80 silver. Most of that is Mote of Fire - 2 at 49 gold90 silver each, 99 gold80 silver, 98.0% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 107 gold15 silver - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 150 gold, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 48 gold20 silver; the Auction House would keep 7 gold50 silver of a sale, leaving 40 gold70 silver. That is an estimated 40.0% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 15.6% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 250 units across 10 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
