Reading these numbers
At current lowest listed prices the 4 reagents for one craft of Healing Potion Injector cost 123 gold2 silver. Most of that is Fel Iron Casing - 1 at 59 gold89 silver each, 59 gold89 silver, 48.7% of the whole basket. Watch that one price and you have watched most of this recipe.
Break-even is 129 gold49 silver per craft, 6 gold47 silver per item at 20 items a craft - below that listed price the craft loses gold once Blizzard’s 5% cut is taken. The crafted item’s lowest listed price is 63 gold17 silver, which clears it.
At that listed price the gross margin before fees is 1,140 gold38 silver; the Auction House would keep 63 gold17 silver of a sale, leaving 1,077 gold21 silver. That is an estimated 875.6% return on the gold you put into reagents, after the cut has taken 5.5% of the gross.
Listing depth right now: 15 units across 3 auctions region-wide. Depth separates a market price from a single asking figure, but listings are not sales, so read it alongside the estimate.
Costs use each reagent’s lowest listed price; the estimate is the crafted item’s lowest listed price, times the items one craft makes, minus those reagents and Blizzard’s 5% sale cut. Listings are asking prices, not sales. Recalculated every snapshot and left blank rather than guessed when a price is missing. How we estimate crafting profit →
