Where you hear it

ragnarosarrival01.ogg opens the most famous summoning scene of the original game. After the raid defeats Majordomo Executus at the lava lake deep in Molten Core, the Majordomo calls his master, and Ragnaros erupts from the magma furious at being woken early. The Firelord had been bound under Blackrock Mountain since the Dark Iron dwarves summoned him centuries earlier. The scene is split across five numbered arrival files, and this first one starts the exchange. At over thirteen seconds of booming elemental voice, it is a ringtone that commands a room.

Use it as

Ringtone

At 13.4 seconds, Ragnaros Arrival is longer than a ring cycle, so start the ringtone at its strongest passage and cut it to about 20 seconds.

Notification sound

Over a text, a thirteen-second boss monologue is unmistakable, though at 13.4 seconds it is best saved for the alerts that matter.

Discord soundboard

The full Ragnaros Arrival clip runs 13.4 seconds, past a 5.2-second soundboard slot, so cut the most recognisable part.
