Glide

Strangely, you can jump again after gliding. Not sure if it is even worth doing, but you can.

This racial does a lot more then simply reduce your fall speed and basically functions the same as the DH version of the ability.

It boosts you forward in a slight arc, giving a move speed increase (Bigger for evokers then the other classes), a small bit of initial height gain (Which can be used to get up on top of objects/ledges a normal jump wouldn't be enough for) and allows you freely control your fall direction unlike a conventional slow fall. It also negates knockback effects to force you forward which can be extremely useful for some classes like priest that lacks a means to do so innately.

You only get the boost the first time you activate it after leaving the ground which can actually make you slow down if you're under the effect of a strong move speed increase like Sprint as it resets your momentum. However, if you get hit by a knockback effect or use certain movement abilities like hunter's Disengage then activate it for a second time you will retain your current speed while still shifting your movement forward which can be used to zoom around with sufficient air time.

It also bears mentioning that you are allowed to activate glide while using channeled abilities that permit movement or while under a buff like Hover that permits mobility without interrupting the channel, but cannot activate it at all with casted abilities.

Looks like this got hot fixed today I can no longer use this trick to get extra distance on a jump
