How it works

Mind Flay is built from 2 client effects, applied in this order:

  1. Effect 1 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 70. Its base value is 50 per tick. It ticks every 1 sec, 4 times over the full 4 sec (200 base in total).
  2. Effect 2 is Apply Aura (effect type 6). It applies aura type 33. Its base value is -50. It applies the snared mechanic.

What it does

Mind Flay is a Shadow spell with an instant cast, a range of 35 yards and effects that last 4 sec. When cast it applies an aura every 1 sec and applies an aura with the snared mechanic. The client files the whole spell under the snared mechanic.
