Tear Rift

Tooltip

Tears a rift in reality, pulling in all players and inflicting Gravity Squeeze on any players who are too close to the rift.

Also, the missiles from Darkness of a Thousand Souls will be sucked into the rift rather than hitting the targeted player if that player is standing close enough to the rift to be affected by Gravity Squeeze.

Finally, rifts will also pull the pools of flame created by Flaming Orbs to them. When they reach the edge of the platform near the rift, the rift will suck in the flames, reducing the size of the flame patch over time.

How it works

Tear Rift is built from 2 client effects, applied in this order:

  1. Effect 1 is Create Area Effect (effect type 179).
  2. Effect 2 is Create Area Effect (effect type 179).

What it does

Tear Rift is a Shadow spell with an instant cast, a range of 300 yards and effects that last 1 min. When cast it has a Create Area Effect effect.

Generated from the SpellEffect, SpellMisc, SpellCooldowns and SpellRange records in the current retail game build. Effects the client marks as internal hooks are left out.
