Where to Farm This Set
6 bosses in Baradin Hold, Blackwing Descent and The Bastion of Twilight drop pieces of this set. Each instance below carries its Adventure Guide entry, where its entrance is, and what each boss drops.
Following the Second War, the ruined fortress of Baradin Hold on the remote island of Tol Barad was converted into a prison for some of the most dangerous forces on Azeroth. Yet with the devastation wrought by the Cataclysm, the prison's integrity has been compromised. Now as the Horde and Alliance vie for supremacy on the island, the liberation of its forgotten horrors may be at hand.
Argaloth drops 2 pieces of this set (Legs, Hands) on Normal, Heroic, 10 Player, 25 Player, 10 Player (Heroic) and 25 Player (Heroic). Adventure Guide map pin: 80.4, 63.5 on the Baradin Hold map. Unable to contain the massive pit lord Argaloth in the cells of Dalaran's mighty Violet Hold, the magi of the Kirin Tor were left with no choice but to confine the powerful demon beneath Tol Barad.
Nefarian and his warped attempts to create a new breed of dragon were thought to be defeated after his death in Blackwing Lair. Yet tales have emerged that his father, Deathwing, has reanimated Nefarian and set him to work in Blackwing Descent. The gruesome experiments being conducted there are feared to be on a level of wickedness far surpassing Nefarian's previous crimes against nature.
The entrance is in Blackrock Mountain at 59.5, 45.9 (/way #33 59.5 45.9).
Blackwing Descent entrance
Omnotron Defense System drops 1 piece of this set (Head) on Normal, Heroic, 10 Player and 25 Player. Adventure Guide map pin: 65.5, 57.5 on the Blackwing Descent map. The Omnotron Defense System was once touted as the Dark Iron dwarves' greatest technological marvel. When Nefarian arrived in Blackwing Descent, he repurposed the run-down system to annihilate anyone intruding on his laboratories.
Atramedes drops 1 piece of this set (Shoulder) on Normal, Heroic, 10 Player and 25 Player. Adventure Guide map pin: 47.5, 32.8 on the Blackwing Descent map. Atramedes, or Experiment 25463-D, is a failed attempt to bestow enhanced senses on a black dragon whelp. The toxic salve applied to the broodling robbed him of sight, forcing him to rely on sound and smell for survival. A tragic story... if Atramedes weren't so evil.
Chimaeron drops 1 piece of this set (Feet) on Normal, Heroic, 10 Player and 25 Player. Adventure Guide map pin: 24.6, 70.2 on the Blackwing Descent map. Terrifying. Ugly. Evil. Kill it.
Nefarian's End drops 1 piece of this set (Chest) on Normal, Heroic, 10 Player and 25 Player. Adventure Guide map pin: 48.0, 70.2 on the Blackwing Descent map. Deathwing's son, Nefarian, gained infamy for his horrifying efforts to create chromatic dragons from the essences of Azeroth's various dragonflights. After his death in Blackwing Lair, he was reanimated and charged by Deathwing to continue his insidious endeavors.
The Bastion of Twilight stands as a dark symbol of the Old Gods' burgeoning power on Azeroth. Various branches of the Twilight's Hammer dwell deep beneath the towering form--considered the cult's foremost command center--along with their twisted leader, Cho'gall. There, he and his servants conspire to bring the Old Gods' apocalyptic visions to fruition by bleeding Azeroth of all sanity, hope, and life.
The entrance is in Loch Modan at 80.8, 22.4 (/way #48 80.8 22.4).
The Bastion of Twilight entrance
Halfus Wyrmbreaker drops 1 piece of this set (Wrist) on Normal, Heroic, 10 Player and 25 Player. Adventure Guide map pin: 53.5, 19.3 on the The Bastion of Twilight map. Imbued with unnatural power and stamina by Cho'gall, the ettin Halfus Wyrmbreaker captures dragons for use as fodder in the Twilight's Hammer's rituals. To this end, he has enslaved a behemoth proto-dragon to aid him in hunting down his winged prey.
Set Bonus
5 pieces of this appearance set also belong to the item set Firelord's Vestments, which carries these bonuses in the game files:
2 pieces: Increases the critical strike chance of Arcane Missiles, Ice Lance, and Pyroblast by 5%.
4 pieces: Reduces the cast time of Arcane Blast, Fireball, Frostfire Bolt, and Frostbolt by 10%.
Versions and Companion Sets
The game links 1 other version to Firelord's Vestments, each labelled the way the collection journal labels it. This page is the Normal version.
5 pieces of Firelord's Vestments can be listed on the Auction House (they do not bind on pickup); 5 have a listing on US connected realms in our latest scan.
Lowest listed price on any US connected realm in our recorded Auction House scan, per piece; transmog gear is priced per realm, so the realm named is where that price was seen.
The game data carries 2 separate set records under the name Firelord's Vestments - one per class or armor weight, plus the per-slot recolours the appearance was built from. This page is the one we index for the name; the others are listed here so nothing is lost.
