Advanced Husbandry

This achievement becomes available once you upgrade the Stables in your garrison to level 2 ([building=66]). The achievement requires you to keep [item=118469] in your bags. This item can be found in your Stables on the ground near the front. If you delete the item from your inventory, it will respawn in your Stables after a few minutes, and you can pick it up again.

When riding one of your mounts-in-training, you will see it periodically show an "alerted" animation effect above its head. This is how you can tell you have [item=118469] in your bags.

The achievement awards [item=116668]. At the time of this writing, the mount reward isn't listed in the achievement window. You'll automatically learn the mount as soon as you earn the achievement.

[item=118469] causes your mount to take 25% more damage and move 25% slower. To complete the achievement, you must kill six named NPCs each six times, while riding each of your mounts-in-training. At ilevel 600, it's relatively easy to complete.

You do not need to be on a mount training quest to obtain this achievement. You must have already tamed all six mounts. (These quests become available at your Stables as you level up.) After that, you can simply pick up the six training dailies from your Stables, then travel to each of the six locations in Nagrand and summon each of your mounts using the whistles in your bag.

All the fights were tank-and-spank for me (stand still and fight) except for [npc=87102] and [npc=87107]. For [npc=87102], you can stand still until he summons a tornado, then move out of it. [npc=87107] was the most difficult. For him, I continuously kited him around the tree on his platform, in a circle. It's especially important to try to get out of his pounce and swipe, otherwise it's likely you won't make it. Alternatively, you can run through him to his back when he does his swipe, and he won't pounce on you if you stay in melee range. I was able to keep my mounts up to nearly 100% by kiting (with the exception of the slowest mount, the Clefthoof).

Better gear will make this achievement easier—even trivial—but if you just dinged 100, you'll find it just about doable.

When your Stables reach rank 3, you'll have an option to request the training whistles from one of the NPCs at the stables. This will let you run out and kill the daily quest mobs for credit toward the achievements. At that point, you'll also have the option of completing The Stable Master.

Tips:

• You'll get credit even if other people are attacking the mob. This can be used to your advantage by having someone else tank it, or by doing it in a group.
• 
  
• You can grab the [item=118469] from a friend's garrison if your Stables aren't there yet, and the achievement is still obtainable.
• 
  
• Hunters: You can use Mend Pet and it will heal your mount. Don't forget [spell=56833]! For MM/SV, dismiss your pet and take the talent [spell=155228]. This will greatly increase your damage done. You can spec into Exhilaration and it will heal your mount. You can also use [spell=19574] and it will affect your mount.

You DO NOT NEED to be on the quests to get the achievements. Pick up all 6 whistles for the day's quests, pick up the Claw, head straight to Nagrand, seek out each of the six enemies, and kill them on all six mounts. Achievement done. 36 kills in total, the most time-consuming part is waiting for the respawn timer. It took me about two hours to complete. They can also be done in group.
