This achievement becomes available once you upgrade the Stables in your garrison to level 3 ([building=67]), which requires level 100, a level 3 garrison, and completion of Master of Mounts. This achievement requires you to keep [item=118470] in your bags. This item can be found in your Stables on the ground near the front. If you delete the item from your inventory, it will respawn in your Stables after a few minutes, and you can pick it up again.

This achievement is basically the same as Advanced Husbandry, except [item=118470] causes your mount to move 50% slower and take 50% more damage (up from 25% in both cases).

The achievement awards [item=116781]. At the time of this writing, the mount reward isn't listed in the achievement window. You'll automatically learn the mount as soon as you earn the achievement.

[item=118470] causes your mount to take 50% more damage and move 50% slower. To complete the achievement, you must kill six named NPCs each six times, while riding each of your mounts-in-training. Even though your mounts are already done training at this point, you can still ride them. Talk to [npc=86973] and he will give you the whistles to call your mounts-in-training. Each whistle can be used 3 times each, and lasts for one day. You'll need to return to your stables to get another set of whistles.

The following mobs must be killed six times each:

  • [npc=87095]: 79.6, 72.4

  • [npc=87102]: 90.6, 23.6 (up on one of the plateaus)

  • [npc=87090]: 53.2, 77.6

  • [npc=87105]: 69.6, 34.6

  • [npc=87107]: 63.8, 80.8 (the ramp to his platform starts at 65.07, 79.95)

  • [npc=87089]: 43.6, 69.6

Note that there is currently a bug where before you start this achievement, you already appear to have credit toward one kill for [npc=87089]. This is not actually true. You still need to kill [npc=87089] six times, once on each of your mounts.

Here is a TomTom macro to locate the mobs. Note that you have to be inside Nagrand for this to work.

/way 79.6 72.4 Beast-Lasher
/way 90.6 23.6 Thundercall
/way 53.2 77.6 Ironbore
/way 69.6 34.6 Karak
/way 63.8 80.8 Maimclaw
/way 43.6 69.6 Moth of Wrath

Most of the fights are tank-and-spank except for [npc=87102] and [npc=87107]. For [npc=87102], you can stand still until he summons a tornado, then move out of it. For [npc=87107], you should stay in melee range until he casts his swipe, at which point you should run through him to his back.

Tips:

  • You can complete this achievement alongside Advanced Husbandry if you have both items in your inventory. This will make your mounts move even slower and take even more damage, but it can be done and will save time.

  • You'll get credit even if other people are attacking the mob. This can be used to your advantage by having someone else tank it, or by doing it in a group.

  • You can grab the [item=118470] from a friend's garrison if your Stables aren't there yet, and the achievement is still obtainable.

  • Hunters: You can use Mend Pet and it will heal your mount. Don't forget [spell=56833]! For MM/SV, dismiss your pet and take the talent [spell=155228]. This will greatly increase your damage done. You can spec into Exhilaration and it will heal your mount. You can also use [spell=19574] and it will affect your mount.

Posting this so if anyone else has the same issue as me, they'll see the fix.

I had completed the requirements for this achievement, 6/6 for all 6 mobs, but I didn't get rewarded the achievement, mount, nor title even though it said the criteria was met. I was confused, until I remembered that before I even had access to the Garn-Tooth Necklace, it said I was already 1/6 for Moth of Wrath, so when I was doing the achievment, I only killed him 5 different times before it gave me "credit". I put the quotations because it's a bug. I went back to Moth and killed him with the 6th mount that I didn't use before, and it gave me the achievement after the kill.

So, there's a bug with it giving you credit on the achievement but not actually giving you that credit, so just go back and kill whatever mob you missed with whatever mount needs it, make sure you kill all 6 with all 6 mounts or you won't get awarded the achievement.
