I was at 96/100 and after patch 8.1.5 the progress went down to 0/100
I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to attempt this except during Comp Stomp. Comp Stomp is PvE and the wins are practically guaranteed and quick. The event lasts one week. I got hundreds of wins from it. It's a good way to increase renown on your alts, too.
